Tara Reid Rushed to Hospital in Chicago After Alleged Drink Tampering at Rosemont Hotel

Tara Reid was hospitalized early Sunday morning after a frightening incident at a Chicago-area hotel. According to TMZ, paramedics transported the 50-year-old “American Pie” actress from the DoubleTree hotel in Rosemont to a nearby hospital after she was found in a disoriented state. The incident was captured on video by a bystander, showing Reid being helped into a wheelchair before paramedics arrived.

A spokesperson for Rosemont Public Safety confirmed to PEOPLE that authorities received a call at 12:39 a.m. on November 23 reporting “a sick person,” and that Reid was taken to the hospital.

Footage shows her appearing confused and slurring her words while staff assisted her. At one point, Reid reportedly said, “You don’t know who I am. I am famous. I’m an actress,” before being placed on a stretcher and moved outside.

Reid’s representative told TMZ, “Tara Reid has filed a police report after an incident in which she believes her drink was tampered with. She is cooperating fully with the investigation. Tara is recovering and asks for privacy during this traumatic time. She also urges everyone to be careful, watch your drinks and never leave them unattended, as this can happen to anyone. She will not be making further comments at this stage.”

The actress told TMZ that she had left her drink at the hotel bar to smoke and returned to find it covered with a napkin. She claims she lost consciousness for several hours. Rosemont police confirmed they responded to a call about a sick person but have not verified whether any drugging occurred.

This incident is a reminder of the importance of staying alert in public spaces and monitoring personal drinks at all times. Tara Reid is currently recovering and has asked for privacy while the situation is investigated.
