Taylor Swift Dominates Global Charts: #1 Song, Album, and Movie Release Simultaneously

Taylor Swift has done it again, this time taking over music charts and movie theaters at once.

Her new film The Official Release Party of a Showgirl made a stunning debut at the U.S. box office, landing at No. 1 after earning an estimated $28–$32 million in its opening weekend. Some industry insiders believe the final total could even pass $35 million.

While Swift’s film soared, Dwayne Johnson’s The Smashing Machine underperformed, bringing in just $6 million, far below early expectations of $12–$14 million.

The Life of a Showgirl, released the same weekend, shot straight to No. 1 on Apple Music and broke Spotify’s all-time pre-save record, surpassing five million — a record she previously held herself. Eight of her albums are now featured on Billboard’s Top 100, fueled by fan excitement for the new release. Earlier this week, the Recording Industry Association of America confirmed that Swift is the first woman ever to surpass 100 million certified album units in the U.S.
