Teaser Trailer For ‘The Boys Presents: Diabolical’ Officially Released

The Boys universe is expanding! Amazon Prime Video now officially revealed the teaser trailer for the upcoming animated spin-off of the popular and twisted original series The Boys. All eight episodes of The Boys Presents: Diabolical will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video on March 4, 2022.

The eight-episode anthology series is developed by the creator of the original series Eric Kripke, who previously teased that he gave writers of this spin-off only one rule — there are no rules! Each of the eight episodes will have its own animation style, and Awkwafina, Garth Ennis, Eliot Glazer and Ilana Glazer, Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland and Ben Bayouth, and Andy Samberg and Aisha Tyler serve as the respective writers of all the episodes.

“We gathered together some incredible creators and we gave them one rule. Just kidding, there’s no rules. They blew the doors off it. — Eric Eripke

From some of the most unhinged and maniacal minds in Hollywood today comes Diabolical, a collection of eight irreverent and emotionally shocking animated short films. Featuring stories by Seth Rogen, Awkwafina, Aisha Tyler, and more, each episode plunges elbow-deep into unseen crevices of The Boys Universe.” — The Boys Presents: Diabolical, official description

The Boys Presents: Diabolical was officially announced last December at CCXP in Brazil, where creator Eric Kripke revealed that the series almost finished production already, which explains how the teaser trailer was released only two months after the initial announcement.

Additionally, Prime Video revealed a spectacular list of actors that provided voices for the animated spin-off: Awkwafina, Michael Cera, Don Cheadle, Chace Crawford, Kieran Culkin, Giancarlo Esposito, Eliot Glazer, Jason Isaacs, Kumail Nanjiani, Justin Roiland, Seth Rogen, Andy Samberg, Ben Schwartz, Elisabeth Shue, Kevin Smith, Antony Starr, Nasim Pedrad, Simon Pegg, Kenan Thompson, Aisha Tyler, Youn Yuh Jung, and Christian Slater, who we have just heard narrating the first teaser trailer.

The fans of The Boys universe have plenty of reasons to rejoice. The original series The Boys is set to release its third season next June, and we will get this animated spin-off just in time to make our waiting shorter. There’s also an additional live-action spin-off in development, so the fans will have plenty to watch and enjoy in the coming time.

Served by the warped and twisted minds of The Boys and Invincible, The Boys Presents: Diabolical will debut on Prime Video on March 4., 2022. The Boys Season 3 will premiere on the same streaming service on June 3, 2022.
