‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 Trailer Reveals Release Date With Jason Sudeikis Back in Richmond
Apple TV has confirmed that “Ted Lasso” is coming back this summer with Season 4. The new season will start on August 5, and new episodes will come out every week until October 7.
The show follows Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso, a football coach from Kansas who moves to the U.K. to coach soccer. Sudeikis also works as an executive producer on the series.
He will return alongside familiar cast members like Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift. Several new actors are also joining the show this season, including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.

This time, Ted goes back to Richmond to coach a women’s soccer team in the second division. The trailer shows him trying to guide a young team that is still learning. In one moment, someone shouts at him, “coaching a bunch of girls – you wanker!”
According to the show’s synopsis, “Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”
Jack Burditt has joined Season 4 as an executive producer. Other executive producers include Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel. Bill Lawrence is also an executive producer through Doozer Productions, working with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television.
The writing team includes Leann Bowen, Sarah Walker, Phoebe Walsh, and Julia Lindon, while Dylan Marron is the story editor.
