Teen Wolf: Tyler Hoechlin Confirmed To Return As Derek Hale In The Upcoming Movie

It’s not a secret that Paramount+ is developing a Teen Wolf movie, and today we got a confirmation that Tyler Hoechlin, who played Derek Hale in the original Teen Wolf series, will reprise the role in the movie, Deadline has learned.

Loosley based on the 1985 movie of the same name, The Teen Wolf TV series premiered in 2011 and aired for six seasons and 100 episodes until 2017. The series was developed by Jeff Davies, and it starred Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed, Dylan O’Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden, Colton Haynes, etc. Paramount+ is currently working on a revival movie. Crystal Reed, Shelley Hennig, Orny Adams, Holland Roden, Dylan Sprayberry, Colton Haynes, JR Bourne, Ryan Kelley, Melissa Ponzio, and Ian Bohen will all reprise their roles from the series in the movie.

Tyler Hoechlin made his breakthrough thanks to the Teen Wolf series, and he’s currently most known for the role of Clark Kent/Superman in the Superman & Lois TV series, which is currently on its second season, and the third season has already been confirmed. Superman & Lois also stars Elizabeth Tulloch, Jordan Elsass, Alex Garfin, Erik Valdez, Inde Navarrette, Wolé Parks, Adam Rayner, Dylan Walsh, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Tayler Buck, and Sofia Hasmik.

The entire Teen Wolf series can be streamed on Paramount+. The movie is currently in production, and it’s set to be released by the end of this year. The movie is expected to set up the upcoming TV series Wolf Pack, which is currently in early development.
