The next installment of ‘The Apothecary Diaries’ is listed for November 6 on Crunchyroll, extending a weekly run that began on October 2 when the anime returned for a new chapter. Viewers following the story of Maomao and Jinshi now have a clear date to plan around, along with a steady weekly rhythm.

This guide covers the release date, the release time in major North American time zones, the platforms carrying the series and what is known so far about the story ahead. Details on the next episode are still limited, so the preview section leans on what recent episodes have already set up for ‘The Apothecary Diaries’ heading into November.

Release Date and Weekly Schedule for the Next Episode

The upcoming episode follows the October 30 release titled “The White-Snake Immortal”, and it is listed for November 6, with the next entry set for November 13.

New episodes arrive on Fridays, and the schedule is labeled subject to change. The first cour is set to wrap on December 18, and the second cour is planned for April 2027 as part of 24 episodes in total.

Episode databases already carry an entry for the November date, but the listing uses a generic placeholder in place of a named title. Another guide likewise shows the entry for November 6 with only a generic label.

In Japan, the series airs on Fridays through the “Friday Anime Night” block on NTV and 29 affiliate channels. That broadcast sits at about 11 p.m. JST, which lets most international viewers watch on the same day.

Release Time Across Major Time Zones

Final Weapon’s schedule puts each weekly episode at 8 a.m. Pacific and 11 a.m. Eastern.

For viewers elsewhere in the country, that works out to 9 a.m. Mountain and 10 a.m. Central. The same schedule notes that these times are subject to change.

Not every guide agrees on the exact hour. A listing for an earlier episode this season pointed to roughly 9 a.m. Eastern, so it is worth checking the Crunchyroll page on release day.

Viewers can also plan around a standard runtime. One guide estimated an earlier episode at roughly 23 minutes, which fits the usual length for this kind of anime.

Where to Watch With English Subs and Dub

Crunchyroll is streaming the series across North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent. The service holds the international streaming rights, so fans outside Japan can watch as episodes release. Netflix has also carried the series in various regions, though availability can differ by country.

Episodes are released with both English subtitles and an English dub. The dub cast includes Emi Lo as Maomao and Kaiji Tang as Jinshi.

Newcomers can catch up before the next episode arrives. The previous season ran from January 10 to July 4, 2025 and is streaming on Crunchyroll, and earlier seasons are listed as available on the platform.

Preview of What Comes Next for Maomao and Jinshi

Official preview material for the upcoming episode has not appeared in the listings reviewed, and the entry still carries a placeholder name. What is clear is where the story stands after the latest release.

“The White-Snake Immortal” centers on the White Lady, whose claims of magical ability and immortality draw crowds to a theater, while Maomao is curious but short on the money for a ticket. It also introduces Rikuson, a character long anticipated by readers of the light novels. A Japanese synopsis says Maomao is invited onto the stage and sees the White Lady’s sorcery up close.

The wider season rests on a rebellion that has ended, a strange breakfast that pulls Maomao into a new mystery, and Jinshi taking on duties as Imperial Brother while haunted by a warning. Rumors of an immortal maiden and a coming famine run through that backdrop, and the locust outbreak remains one of the most pressing problems.

Behind the camera, Akinori Fudesaka directs at studio OLM, and the studio now produces the season on its own across two parts, with the second arriving in April 2027. A separate animated film with a new story by the original author is scheduled to open in Japan on December 11. If the White Lady’s stage show turns out to be the first real thread linking the locust problem to the rumors of an immortal maiden, readers who have followed Maomao’s investigations are welcome to say in the comments which clue they think the next episode should pick up first.
