A new teaser for episode 5 of “The Boys” season 5 has been released, and it brings a surprise that fans of “Supernatural” will notice right away.

According to information shared by Entertainment Weekly and comments from show creator Eric Kripke, the upcoming episode will feature a reunion between Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins. The three actors, known for “Supernatural,” appear together in the new installment.

Kripke also confirmed that the episode introduces a character named Mister Marathon, played by Jared Padalecki. This character has been mentioned before in the series but has not been seen on screen until now. He is tied to the early history of The Seven and was once known as a speed-based hero before being replaced by A-Train.

The creator explained that this is not just a small appearance. He said, “I want a meaty, fun role that really turns the story.”

Kripke also said the character has been part of the show’s background lore for a long time, describing him as someone who once operated within The Seven’s world before fading into history. He added that casting Padalecki in the role added a new layer to the character’s personality, aiming for a very different and unexpected version of him.

The teaser and earlier TV spot also show Mister Marathon in conflict with Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles. At one point, the character is shown getting hit by Soldier Boy, hinting that the episode will include direct clashes between the returning figures.

The reason for Mister Marathon’s return in the story has not been fully explained. There are different possibilities being discussed within the show’s plot, including connections to The Seven, Billy Butcher’s group, or ongoing power struggles following recent events in the season.

The episode will also continue storylines involving major shifts in the superhero world, but exact details are being kept secret until release.

Bringing the “Supernatural” cast together again inside “The Boys” is a smart move, especially since fans have a strong connection to those actors. It also looks like the show is continuing its pattern of mixing shock, humor, and darker story twists. What do you think about this reunion and the return of Mister Marathon?
