The Boys’ Showrunner Eric Kripke Mocks Trump and Elon Musk with Zack Snyder’s Iconic ‘Justice League’ Photo

‘The Boys’ recently released its fourth season, which turned out to be quite a shocker. Despite the show’s immense popularity, it faced review-bombing from some fans and criticism for a noticeable decline in the quality of its writing.

While the show has never shied away from its overtly left-leaning themes, the latest season seems to have abandoned any pretense of subtlety or nuance. Instead, it leaned heavily into crude humor, offensive jokes, sexual attack jokes, and excessive gore to make its points.

Eric Kripke has never been shy about his political views, though in the past he arguably relied less on explicit content, bizarre themes, sexual assault, and weird fetishes to express them. He often uses social media to either call out dissatisfied “fans” or to show support for his cast and crew. However, his latest post was purely political: the writer and producer retweeted an image that featured various members of Trump’s cabinet, along with right-leaning media figures and businessmen, photoshopped into Zack Snyder’s iconic ‘Justice League’ poster.

In the image, Elon Musk appears as Cyborg, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Aquaman, JD Vance as Batman, Vivek Ramaswamy as Flash, Tulsi Gabbard as Wonder Woman, and, unsurprisingly, Trump takes on the role of Superman.

Kripke captioned the post by drawing a comparison between this “Injustice League” and The Seven, saying, “It’s hard to make The Seven seem heroic, but here we are.”

As expected, many of Kripke’s followers enjoyed the humor of the image and added their own commentary and takes on it.

And, unsurprisingly, many people criticized Kripke for sharing the image.

No matter where you stand on the issue, you have to admit that the edit is pretty amusing! Got something to say? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
