‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Star Emily Blunt (43) Mocks Men’s Fashion Detail She Says She “Simply Can’t Stand”
Emily Blunt has shared a funny and honest opinion about a men’s fashion choice she really does not like, and she even brought it up while talking about her husband, actor and director John Krasinski.
According to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Blunt spoke about Krasinski’s outfit from this year’s Golden Globes and admitted she was not immediately convinced when he showed it to her before the event.
Krasinski had worn a dark outfit with a turtleneck, paired with a jacket and trousers. Blunt said her first reaction was not very enthusiastic because she strongly dislikes turtlenecks on men.
She explained, “To be honest, I have a complete aversion to turtlenecks. When John showed me the outfit and said, ‘And this is a turtleneck,’ I had to pull myself together and put on a neutral expression, you know, like, ‘Oh, that sounds great.’”
Even though she was unsure at first, her opinion changed once she saw him wearing the full outfit. She said he ended up looking very stylish and compared his look to a classic movie-era style. “I thought he looked like a young Michael Caine. He looked so cool. He had that ‘60s vibe,” she said.
Blunt also added that while she did not like turtlenecks in general, she could admit when someone pulls it off well. She even joked that she apologized to anyone wearing one after her comment.
During the same interview, she also spoke about another fashion detail she does not enjoy. She said she is not a fan of certain men’s leather jackets that look overly shiny or too tight. She explained she prefers a more classic, simple style instead.
Blunt and Krasinski have been married since 2010 and share two daughters. They are also known for working together on the horror film series A Quiet Place, which Krasinski created and directed while Blunt starred in it. A third film in the franchise has already been announced for release in 2027.
From a wider view, this interview showed a playful and relaxed moment between Blunt and the audience, mixing humor with personal opinions about fashion and her life with Krasinski. What do you think about her take on men’s fashion styles?
