Few movie tie-ins have ever generated as much buzz as the ‘Dune: Part Two’ popcorn bucket. Sold at AMC Theatres, the collectible’s sandworm-shaped lid had a toothy open mouth that doubled as the opening for grabbing popcorn, and it quickly became an internet sensation.

The design sparked a wave of NSFW jokes and memes that its creators never expected, and the bucket sold out fast. Zinc Group, the company behind it, was surprised by the reaction, and director Denis Villeneuve reportedly found the whole thing hilarious. Some buckets were even reportedly resold online for more than $800.

Now the franchise is back with a new collectible. A first look at the ‘Dune: Part Three’ popcorn bucket has surfaced online, and it seems to have learned exactly what made its predecessor go viral.

This time, the lid features 2 sculpted sandworm heads instead of one. Each worm has an open, circular mouth lined with rows of teeth, and they point outward in opposite directions from the top of the bucket.

The tin itself is decorated with desert-toned artwork showing figures in silhouette against a warm sandy backdrop, with the film’s title running down the side. The overall look feels like a cheeky nod to the original bucket’s infamous reputation.

The reveal didn’t come entirely out of nowhere. Back in July, Warner Bros. hinted at a new bucket through Dune Insider, the film’s official fan newsletter, sharing an image of a backlit popcorn bucket silhouette against a glowing sandy background.

At the time, no design, price or release date was announced. This first look finally shows what that teaser was hinting at, though details on where it will be sold and how much it will cost haven’t been confirmed yet.

The first sandworm bucket’s success was something of an accident. Its designers said they wanted a “nag factor” that would make people desperate to own one, choosing the sandworm because it’s the series’ most iconic image.

Book fans even pointed out that the bucket’s neat, uniform teeth didn’t match the jagged, random teeth described in Frank Herbert’s novels. None of that slowed it down, and it’s widely credited with turning popcorn buckets into a mainstream phenomenon. With 2 worms instead of one, the new design seems built to recapture that same viral energy.

The bucket arrives ahead of one of the year’s biggest releases. ‘Dune: Part Three’, adapted from Herbert’s ‘Dune Messiah’, opens on December 18, with Villeneuve returning to close out his trilogy.

Set 17 years after the events of ‘Dune: Part Two’, the film follows Paul Atreides as emperor, facing the consequences of absolute power while enemies plot against him. Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya return as Paul and Chani, joined by Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jason Momoa and Robert Pattinson as the villain Scytale.

If the first bucket is any guide, this one could sell out quickly. Collectors and meme-makers alike will be watching closely once official pricing and availability are announced. Whether fans want it for the shelf or just for the jokes, the double sandworm bucket is already one of the most talked-about pieces of merchandise for the film. Villeneuve’s grand finale may end up with a concession stand moment just as memorable as its predecessor’s.
