The upcoming Netflix documentary series “Sean Combs: The Reckoning” looks at the many s**** misconduct allegations made against rapper and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The show was directed by Alex Stapleton and is set to come out on December 2. The first trailer for the series has now been released, giving viewers an early look at how the story will be told.

The idea for the project first appeared back on December 7, 2023, when rapper 50 Cent said he was working on a docuseries about Combs. At the time, he also said that money from the series would go to people who came forward with accusations of s**** assault and r****.

Netflix later confirmed that the project was officially in production on September 25, 2024. This happened one week after Combs was arrested on charges that included racketeering, s** trafficking, and transporting someone to take part in p******.

Director Alex Stapleton and 50 Cent released a joint statement when Netflix announced the series. In their words, “This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far. We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives. While the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combs’ story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions.”

The series is being executive produced by 50 Cent, Alex Stapleton, and David Karabinas. With the trailer now out, the documentary is already drawing major attention as viewers wait to see how the full story will unfold when it arrives on Netflix in December.
