‘The Housemaid’ Star Sydney Sweeney Goes Gothic Bridal in Striking New Syrn Holiday Campaign Look
Sydney Sweeney has spent the past few years building one of Hollywood’s most versatile careers. The 29-year-old actress rose to stardom on HBO’s ‘Euphoria’, earned critical acclaim for ‘The White Lotus ‘, and has since become a bona fide movie star with hits like ‘The Housemaid’ to her name.
Alongside her acting work, Sweeney has also embraced entrepreneurship through SYRN, her lingerie and loungewear brand. The label has rolled out a series of playful collections this year, and it is now gearing up for its biggest seasonal push yet.
The brand is launching what it calls the SYRN Holiday Special, a lineup of 4 holiday collections. The rollout begins with the cozy Comfy SYRN collection on October 27, with fans encouraged to sign up for early access ahead of each drop.
Now another eye-catching image from the campaign is making the rounds. As JumpTrailers shared, Sweeney has posed for SYRN in a dramatic look that blends bridal elegance with a darker, Halloween-ready edge.
In the photos, Sweeney wears a deep red lace bra and matching garter set adorned with oversized satin bows. She completes the look with a sheer white lace veil, smoky blue eyeshadow, and a bold red lip, posing against a glowing, moonlike backdrop.

The look is part of a broader campaign that pays tribute to beloved holiday films. In a 30-second promotional video, Sweeney appears on a television set wearing a series of looks inspired by festive classics.
The ad nods to ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ and ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’, while one look featuring blue feather fans was seen by some fans as a reference to the 1954 film ‘White Christmas’. The campaign also shifts into a gothic aesthetic inspired by ‘The Corpse Bride’, with Sweeney modeling black and red lace sets.
Another shot from the campaign shows Sweeney playfully pretending to shave her face while wearing a navy blue push-up bra. That image promoted Hibernation Nation, described as the cozy portion of the SYRN Holiday Special.
As with many of Sweeney’s campaigns, the latest promotion has sparked plenty of conversation. Many fans flooded the comments with praise for the creative concepts and bold styling.
The campaign has also drawn some criticism. A segment in which Sweeney’s look references Cindy Lou Who, the young character from Dr. Seuss’ ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’, led some commenters to argue the ad was inappropriate for evoking a children’s character.
Sweeney has not publicly responded to the backlash. Still, the attention has kept SYRN firmly in the spotlight just as its holiday shop opens. SYRN has steadily expanded its offerings over the past year. Earlier this year, the brand launched its first playful collection with a corner store-themed campaign that featured Sweeney modeling cotton pieces in unexpected ways.
The holiday collections mark the brand’s first seasonal capsule, with flannel pajamas and loungewear expected alongside more daring lingerie designs. The mix reflects SYRN’s effort to balance comfort and glamour.
With the first collection launching on October 27, more drops are expected throughout the holiday season. Given the buzz surrounding the campaign so far, each new release is likely to generate just as much attention. For Sweeney, the campaign is another sign that her ambitions extend well beyond the screen, as she continues to grow her presence in the fashion world.
