Gina Carano is speaking again about her past with The Mandalorian, and this time she is sharing details about her relationship with former co-star Pedro Pascal.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Carano said Pascal never spoke out against her in public during the controversy that led to her exit from the show. However, she claims that behind the scenes, he did try to guide her on how to respond.

According to Carano, Pascal was the one cast member who reached out privately during that time. She said he encouraged her to calm the situation by addressing critics in a way that would satisfy them.

Even though there was no public conflict between them, their connection did not last. Carano said they are no longer in contact. The last time they spoke was in early 2024 after the death of their co-star Carl Weathers. “But no,” she said. “Me and Pedro don’t keep in touch.”

Carano was removed from The Mandalorian in 2021 after a series of social media posts that led to backlash. Lucasfilm described those posts at the time as unacceptable. Years later, Carano filed a lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company, which has since been settled.

While much of the situation involved public reactions and company decisions, Carano’s comments now give a look at what happened privately with her co-stars. She made it clear that Pascal did not attack her openly, but he did try to push her to handle the backlash differently.

Outside of that situation, Carano is now focused on her return to fighting and possible new acting work in the future.

This adds another layer to a story that many people only saw from the outside. It shows that private conversations can be very different from what the public sees. It also raises questions about how people handle pressure during big controversies. What do you think about what Carano said? Do you believe private support matters more than public statements?
