Zendaya has never been one to approach a brand partnership halfway, and her work with On keeps getting more ambitious. The actress has represented the Swiss sportswear company since 2024, when the brand announced her as a global ambassador. Now, Zendaya’s On campaign for her latest collection is taking things in a decidedly wild new direction.

Her first collection with the brand set a high bar. Released in April, it marked her first co-created clothing and footwear line with On and introduced the Cloudnova Moon ballet-inspired sneakers. To accompany it, Academy Award winner Spike Jonze directed a short film, ‘Shape of Dreams’, set inside Zendaya’s imagined design world, “The Dream Lab.”

On October 1, Zendaya and On unveiled their second co-created collection through an action-movie-inspired campaign and short film. Developed alongside her longtime stylist and collaborator Law Roach, the new line leans into a bold python print. Zendaya explained that the duo had fun with a print that works like a modern take on camouflage.

Photos shared on X by several outlets show Zendaya in a matching snakeskin set, featuring a fitted long-sleeve cropped top and coordinating trousers. Shot against both a vivid red backdrop and a raw concrete wall, the images capture her lounging, crouching, and posing with attitude. She paired the set with the new Cloudnova Moon Mary Jane sneakers.

The most eye-catching detail is the live reptile. Teasers released on September 30 showed Zendaya and Roach planning the shoot, with the actress suggesting they add a snake to the concept. The idea made it into the final imagery, with a real snake wrapped around her neck to create an almost collar-like effect.

The moment recalls Zendaya’s long association with Bulgari’s Serpenti campaigns. She became a global Bulgari ambassador in 2020, though this time the serpent is a living one rather than a piece of jewelry.

The campaign film takes its cues from classic action movies. The roughly 2-minute short was directed by Argentinian trio Pantera and shows Zendaya battling a large group of female adversaries determined to take her down. According to Marie Claire, she performs her own stunts throughout the film in her full snakeskin outfit.

Roach even makes a cameo to help her out. Despite being severely outnumbered, Zendaya ultimately triumphs like any good action hero. On’s leadership sees the creative approach as central to the partnership. “Cinematic storytelling has been a cornerstone of our partnership with Zendaya from the start,” Alex Griffin, On’s Chief Marketing Officer, said in On’s announcement.

Roach described the collection as an effort to push the boundaries of sportswear. He explained that the pair brought their personality and love of print to technical fabrics, with the goal of designing pieces that feel good in motion.

Fans may have already spotted the print in the wild. Tennis star and fellow On ambassador Ben Shelton wore the collection’s snakeskin anorak while speaking to reporters at the US Open. Zendaya wears the same anorak in the new campaign.

The collection is now available on the On website and in its retail stores globally. With a hit debut behind them and an even bolder follow-up now on shelves, Zendaya and Roach seem to be just getting started with their sportswear vision.
