‘The Punisher: One Last Kill’ Drops Its First Teaser
A brand-new teaser for The Punisher: One Last Kill has just been released, and it’s already getting fans excited. The clip is very short but gives a glimpse of The Punisher back in action. It appears at the end of a trailer for Daredevil: Born Again, linking the two projects.
Jon Bernthal returns as Frank Castle, and this won’t be his only appearance this year. He’s also set to appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day confirmed that Frank Castle will interact with Peter Parker. Tom Holland commented, “I am so excited for people to see Jon Bernthal as the Punisher in this movie. He’s come from a very different world, you know, the R-rated kind of universe, and we’ve basically picked him up and plonked him into our world. And he absolutely sings in this movie. He is incredible.”
The special is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, connecting with other Marvel films and shows. It is produced by Marvel Studios under its Marvel Television label. This marks another major MCU appearance for the Punisher after the original The Punisher.

The story will follow Frank Castle trying to leave his violent past behind. He wants a normal life without revenge, but circumstances force him back into action, creating a new conflict he must face.
After the first Punisher series ended in 2019, Bernthal returned to the role in Daredevil: Born Again in 2023. During production of that show, the idea for this special was developed. By early 2025, it was confirmed that Bernthal and Reinaldo Marcus Green were collaborating with Marvel Studios on the project.
Filming took place in New York City, starting in mid-July and finishing in early August. The special’s title and release date were revealed in March 2026.
The Punisher: One Last Kill is scheduled to premiere on May 12, 2026, shortly after the second season of Daredevil: Born Again ends. The Punisher will return again on July 31 in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
This teaser shows that Marvel is ready to bring the Punisher into the bigger MCU in a meaningful way. Jon Bernthal is perfect for the role, and the idea of connecting him to both Daredevil and Spider-Man makes his story feel important. I’m excited to see how the character develops.
