ABC’s The Rookie had its biggest audience of the season with its March 25 episode. The show reached 8.25 million viewers and had a strong rating in the key 18-49 age group (1.67, or about 2.24 million people). Streaming played a big part, making up 43% of the total viewers and over 70% of the 18-49 rating.

This episode, titled Speed, had John (Nathan Fillion) and Celina (Lisseth Chavez) in a hostage crisis, while Tim (Eric Winter) questioned Lucy’s (Melissa O’Neil) choices.

These strong ratings helped ABC’s Tuesday lineup. The network has gained more viewers this season, thanks to shows like High Potential, The Rookie, and Will Trent. High Potential leads with 15.31 million viewers, followed by The Rookie with 11.35 million and Will Trent with 10.91 million.

Since moving to the 9 p.m. slot in mid-February, The Rookie has improved its live TV ratings. It now averages 3.34 million same-day viewers, an 11% increase from its earlier 10 p.m. spot. ABC’s Tuesday nights continue to be a big success this season.
