The Santa Clause Sequel Series Is In Development With Tim Allen Set To Return

The recent holiday season is now behind us, but only for now. It’s known that the entertainment industry is always planning on what to offer us the next Holiday season. For example, Marvel Studios is preparing Guardians of the Galaxy: The Holiday Special, which will show us how is the weirdest family in the galaxy celebrating holidays in the MCU.

Guardians of the Galaxy: The Holiday Special will debut exclusively on Disney+, and speaking of which, a streaming platform of the House of Mouse is also developing the sequel series of The Santa Clause, a famous trilogy of Christmas movies in which Tim Allen starred in the titular role, as reported by Deadline. According to the report, Allen will star and executive produce The Santa Clause series, which is set to debut on Disney+. Allen will reprise the role of Scott Calvin.

The original movie was released in 1994, directed by John Pasquin, and two sequels, directed by Michael Lembeck, followed in 2002 and 2006. Eric Lloyd, Judge Reinhold, Wendy Crewson, and Peter Boyle also starred in every movie of the trilogy.

Disney is known as a company that likes to create joyful content in which the whole family can enjoy. Following Disney’s acquisition of Fox in 2019, Disney tried to revive the Home Alone franchise with the new installment which debuted on Disney+ last November. The movie was panned by critics and the audience. Let’s hope The Santa Clause series will be (a lot) better. The production is set to begin next March in Los Angeles.
