The current awards season has been a whirlwind, and Kate Hudson has been a central figure in the conversation, thanks to her acclaimed performance in the film Song Sung Blue. Beyond her work on screen, her radiant complexion during the Actor Awards garnered significant attention, prompting curiosity about the secrets behind her glass-like skin.

Her makeup artist, Tonya Brewer, revealed that the look was achieved through meticulous preparation using the Beauty Pie Triple Hyaluronic Acid and Lipopeptide Serum. The serum combines plumping hyaluronic acid with soothing ceramides and age-defying peptides to create a lightweight, hydrating formula that helps smooth the skin.

According to users, the product absorbs quickly, remains non-sticky, and serves as an effective base that enhances, rather than disrupts, makeup application. For the Actor Awards, Brewer paired the serum with the Triple Hyaluronic Acid Deep Moisture Miracle Cream, the Wonderfilter Brightening Primer, and the Superluminous Tinted Skin Glow Serum.

It resulted in a super glowy skin aesthetic, accented by lots of lashes and a pop of peachy-pink on the cheeks. Kate Hudson’s career has seen a major resurgence recently, highlighted by her 2026 Oscar nomination for Best Actress.

In the biographical musical drama Song Sung Blue, directed by Craig Brewer, she portrays Claire Sardina, a real-life Milwaukee hairdresser who finds love and purpose while performing in a Neil Diamond tribute band.

Co-starring Hugh Jackman as her husband Mike, the film explores the duo’s journey from dive bar gigs to unexpected local stardom, as well as their resilience following a life-altering accident. On the small screen, Hudson continues to star as Isla Gordon in the hit Netflix sports comedy series Running Point.

The show, created by Mindy Kaling and Ike Barinholtz, follows Isla after she is unexpectedly appointed president of her family business, the Los Angeles Waves basketball team. Season two of the series is scheduled to premiere on April 23, 2026, and will feature the introduction of new cast members, including Ray Romano, who joins the team as a veteran basketball coach.

Outside of these projects, Hudson has been vocal about her desire to see a revitalization of the high-budget, star-driven romantic comedy genre, expressing a passion for scripts that can draw audiences back to theaters. She has also teased potential new musical endeavors and continues to balance her prestigious awards-season commitments with a selective approach to future film roles.
