The Suicide Squad Star Daniela Melchior Reveals First Look At Her Character in ‘Fast X’

Fast X, the upcoming tenth installment of the Fast & Furious saga is currently in its seventh week of production. The franchise’s star and producer Vin Diesel is sharing updates and teases on his Instagram account daily, as well as other cast members do. We have already gotten the first looks at newcomers in the franchise Jason Momoa, Alan Ritchson, Brie Larson, and now, Daniela Melchior shared one as well.
In her recent post on Instagram, The Suicide Squad star shared images from the set on which we can see her covered in tattoos. She didn’t reveal any details about her undisclosed role, but one of Vin Diesel’s previous posts on Instagram suggests that she might be one of those characters that the Family will need to protect from the threat, similar to Nathalie Emmanuel’s Ramsey in Furious 7 and Anna Sawai’s Elle in F9.
Daniela Melchior is currently best known for the role of Ratcatcher 2 in James Gunn’s DCEU movie The Suicide Squad. She also voiced Gwen Stacy in the Portuguese Dub of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.
The Fast & Furious franchise kicked off in 2001 with the original movie The Fast and the Furious. Since then, the franchise spawned eight sequels, one spin-off movie, two short movies, one animated series, and a couple of video games. The franchise became Universal’s biggest franchise, with more than $6.6 billion dollars grossed combined. Fast X is intended to be the penultimate chapter of the franchise, with the eleventh installment set to be the finale of the main franchise. Of course, the whole saga won’t end there. The spin-off movie Hobbs and Shaw with Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham is intended to get a sequel eventually, and there are reportedly more spin-offs planned, including one with Charlize Theron as Cipher.
Fast X is set to be released on May 19, 2023.
