The Unidentified Body in the Harrigan Lake Raises the Stakes for ‘MobLand’

The closing moments of the latest ‘MobLand’ episode left viewers with an image that is hard to shake. The camera moves beneath the surface of a lake at the Harrigan estate and reveals a body that appears to have been weighted down. It is the kind of cliffhanger that turns a family war into a criminal investigation.

The question of whose body is in the lake now sits at the center of the season. The episode, titled “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” arrived on Paramount+ on Nov. 6, two weeks before the Nov. 20 finale. That leaves very little time for the series to answer it.

Whose Body Is in the Lake Remains Unconfirmed

The most important fact is also the most frustrating one. The episode neither confirms whether the body belongs to JoJo nor reveals who contacted Colin about it. Anyone claiming certainty at this stage is working from inference rather than from anything the show has stated.

The sequence itself is carefully staged. Eddie is seen throwing pebbles into the lake at Conrad’s Cotswolds estate while Kevin storms off in his car in the background, and the camera then follows a pebble down to the body. The shot gives the audience information that the police do not yet have.

Eddie skimming stones above the body does not establish that he knows it is there, or that he is the informant. That distinction matters because the scene invites viewers to link him to the discovery without actually confirming a connection. It reads as deliberate ambiguity rather than an oversight.

What the Harrigan Estate Reveals About Conrad

The lake does not appear out of nowhere. It enters the story when Tattersall tells Kavanagh he has a confidential informant with a damaging claim against the Harrigans. The estate itself becomes the evidence, which makes Conrad’s home the most dangerous place in the series.

That placement carries weight because of what the episode shows about Conrad himself. The hour also depicts his mind slipping, and one recap suggests the most interesting question may be what the lake means for him. A patriarch who is losing his grip on events is poorly positioned to manage a secret buried in his own grounds.

The tension is visible elsewhere in the episode. Conrad draws a gun on Kevin and demands that he promise never to breathe a word of their conversation. Whatever Conrad is protecting, the show treats it as serious enough to turn a father against his own son.

The Case for and Against the JoJo Theory

JoJo is the obvious suspect, and the reasoning is straightforward. Earlier in the season, Colin and Frankie reviewed CCTV footage of Conrad taking JoJo, who was the lone survivor of an attack. Conrad then took him to the Cotswolds, to a barn where he tortured him all night for information about Frankie.

The theory is not the only one in circulation. One recap names both JoJo and Richie as possible candidates and stresses that the episode does not confirm the body’s identity. That is a useful corrective for anyone treating the JoJo reading as settled.

There is also a more tangled version of events being floated. One analysis suggests that if Frankie and his men found JoJo’s body during a raid, they may have dumped it in the lake rather than destroy it, which could leave the Harrigans with a problem they cannot easily explain. The same piece is careful to frame this as speculation, and it should be read that way.

The Informant Behind Colin Tattersall’s Tip

The identity of the informant may prove as important as the identity of the body. Tattersall presents himself as a guardian angel to Kavanagh, who has been taken off duty pending an investigation into a leak in her unit, and he tells her there are bodies in the lake and the ground at the Cotswolds. His motives remain unclear, and the show has not said who gave him the information.

The next episode may bring that thread to a head. One breakdown of the trailer for the following episode says Colin and Kavanagh somehow obtain a warrant to raid the Harrigan estate, specifically the lake, while the family’s leaders are away. The ninth episode is scheduled to arrive on Paramount+ on November 13, 2026.

The same breakdown raises a possibility worth keeping in mind. It argues that Harry would likely have known about a body in the lake, and that he might have had it removed before the police arrived. If so, the raid could uncover less than viewers expect, and the real damage might come from what the Harrigans did to hide it.

Much of this will hinge on whether the closing shot was a statement of fact or a piece of misdirection. With only a handful of episodes left, a body at the bottom of the Harrigan lake could still belong to JoJo, to Richie, or to someone the series has not yet put in front of us, so which name are you backing when the divers go in?
