Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 Releases

CyberConnect2’s tactical RPG trilogy concludes with Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3. Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake Announced

Square Enix has announced that remakes of Dragon Quest I and II will launch on October 30, 2025, as a bundled release titled Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake. These updated versions will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox, PC, Nintendo Switch, and the newly introduced Switch 2. The remakes will feature enhanced HD-2D graphics, a refined battle system, quality-of-life improvements, significant story additions, and new content.

CD Projekt Red Reaffirms Commitment to RPGs

CD Projekt Red has reaffirmed its dedication to developing AAA, open-world, narrative-driven RPGs, such as Cyberpunk 2 and The Witcher 4. Co-founder Marcin Iwiński and CEO Adam Badowski emphasized the importance of focusing on the genre that brought the company success, acknowledging that past attempts to branch into other genres were less successful.

Fallout Creator Says 100+ Hour RPGs Can Be Intimidating To Players

Tim Cain, the creator of the original Fallout, recently discussed the pros and cons of creating very long RPGs, those that take over 100 hours to complete, on his YouTube channel.

Longer games allow for more intricate narratives with greater reactivity, offering players a richer experience but at the same time not all players have the time to commit to extensive games, especially those with personal or professional responsibilities.

Xbox Games Showcase will be an Online event you will be able to stream through Twitch and YouTube.
