The Witcher: Two Clips From The Upcoming Season 2 Revealed

We are finally in the week of The Witcher! The highly anticipated second season of the popular fantasy series will drop on on Netflix this Friday! But before we dive into another adventure with Geralt of Rivia, Netflix revealed two new exclusive clips featuring Ciri and Yennefer.

Apart from Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer are the most known characters of The Witcher saga. Freya Allan returns as Princess Cirilla and Anya Chalotra returns as Yennefer of Vengerberg. Two clips that Netflix revealed are showing Ciri’s training and Yennefer talking with Tissaia. You can check both scenes below:

Based on the series of novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, Netflix’s series follows Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia, the titular monster hunter. Created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, The Witcher series premiered on Netflix in December 2019, and the series now finally returns. You can check the synopsis of the upcoming season below:

“Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. Sapkowski‘s fantasy world also spawned video games, the animated movie, and a spin-off series that recently wrapped production. Three video games were released so far, developed by CD Projekt RED. The latest one – The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – was released in 2015. The game won the Game of the Year Award and it is considered one of the best games of all time. CD Projekt RED reportedly plans to start the development of The Witcher 4 soon.

He calls them "the four rulers of the fantasy genre." He loves to write about anything spawned from those franchises (books, games, movies...), as well as anything branded with the Marvel or DC logo. Video games and their adaptations are also something he follows faithfully since he's a big fan of story-driven single-player games like Assassin's Creed, The Last of Us, Uncharted, etc. His favorite video game ever is Red Dead Redemption 2.
