These A-List Celebrities Are Actually Connected to Royalty
Have you heard the latest buzz about Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal? People are talking about them for a reason that has nothing to do with their movies.
According to a report from multiple sources, genealogists think these two famous siblings might actually be related to the British royal family.
The story says that Jake and Maggie could be distant cousins of the late Queen Elizabeth II. Specifically, they might be 19th cousins. This whole thing apparently goes back over 600 years to King Edward III. He was the King of England a long time ago, from 1327 to 1377. Since he had so many kids, his family tree spread out all over Europe. This means the Gyllenhaals could also be related to King Charles III and Prince William.
Even though they might have royal blood, the siblings grew up in Los Angeles. They made their names in Hollywood, not in a palace. Their dad, Stephen Gyllenhaal, does have some fancy history though. He comes from a Swedish noble family. His own father was a journalist named Anders Leonard Gyllenhaal, and researchers believe he is the link to that old English king.
Both Jake and Maggie are very successful actors now, following the creative path their family has walked for a long time. They seem to be getting along better than ever these days, too. Maggie recently talked about how their relationship has changed. She said that back when they were younger, she was in touch with the envy when Jake first started his acting career. Thankfully, those days are over. She explained that they have grown much closer lately and said they have never been as close as we are now.
While this royal connection is just based on reports for now, it is definitely making people look at the Gyllenhaals differently. It is pretty wild to think that two of the biggest stars in movies might have ties to the most famous royal family in the world.
