‘Thunderbolts*’ Reportedly Scores Best Test Screenings of Phase 5!

After a challenging phase for the MCU, Deadpool & Wolverine was a massive success earning over $1 billion. While the success of Captain America: Brave New World was limited mostly to positive audience reactions, early buzz indicates that Thunderbolts* could be a breakout hit as the MCU builds toward its major Avengers installments.

The excitement surrounding Thunderbolts* is palpable. While it may not break box office records, expectations are high for a strong performance and positive reception from both critics and fans, especially now that the early rumors are saying that the movie had an extremely positive test screening.

A+ Hero Report recently reported that Thunderbolts* is a much stronger film in terms of quality, with extremely high test screening scores. The movie is expected to perform better overall and won’t experience as significant a drop in its second week, compared to Brave New World.

Captain America: Brave New World currently holds a 49% approval rating from critics and 80% from audiences. The film has experienced a 68% drop in revenue during its second weekend, making it the third most significant decline, following Quantumania and The Marvels.

As of February 23, 2025, the movie has grossed $141.2 million in the United States and Canada, and $148.2 million in other territories, bringing its global total to $289.4 million. According to Deadline Hollywood, the film needs to earn $425 million worldwide to break even, considering its production budget of $180 million and marketing costs.

This is not the first report that Thunderbolts* has had a successful test screening, as several months ago similar rumors went viral.
