Actor Timothée Chalamet recently appeared on Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards’ YouTube show, the debut of his “Believe That Awards.”

During the lighthearted segment, Chalamet was named the first-ever “White Boy of the Year,” leaving the actor laughing throughout the presentation.

At the end of the interview, Edwards tried to give a shoutout to fellow actor Liam Neeson, but hilariously mispronounced his name, adding to the playful tone of the show.

During their conversation, Chalamet opened up about his acting career and shared that his upcoming film Marty Supreme is the project he is most proud of. “Maybe the project I’m most proud of,” Chalamet said, describing it as the “best thing I’ve been in,” according to the Edwards show.

Marty Supreme is a sports comedy-drama set in 1950s New York City and follows the story of a table tennis star, Marty Mauser, on his journey to greatness. The film is produced and directed by Josh Safdie, co-written with Ronald Bronstein, and loosely inspired by real-life table tennis player Marty Reisman. Chalamet not only stars in the film but also co-produced it.

The movie features a strong supporting cast, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, Kevin O’Leary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher. It also includes appearances by Penn Jillette, Sandra Bernhard, and a host of other notable figures from sports and entertainment.

Marty Supreme premiered at a “secret screening” during the 2025 New York Film Festival on October 6. It is set to hit U.S. theaters on December 25, through A24. Internationally, Nordisk Film will handle distribution in Finland, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden.

Chalamet’s excitement for the project was evident, and fans can look forward to seeing him in a role he clearly holds close to his heart. The mix of historical sports drama and Chalamet’s performance promises an engaging and unique film experience.
