Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton Welcome Baby No. 2 — Fans Celebrate the Happy News
Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton have welcomed their second child together.
The Loki star, 44, confirmed the happy news in a recent interview with GQ, describing the experience of birth as “the most beautiful, profound, earth-shattering, life-altering” moment of his life.
The couple, who are known for keeping their personal life private, had their first child in 2022. Ashton, 41, also shared hints of the new addition in November on Instagram while visiting a local baby bank. In her post, she reflected on postpartum recovery and her thoughts about children living in difficult conditions, writing, “Throughout my recovery, I have thought deeply about the children in our world facing the most devastating living conditions and those tirelessly working to protect them.”
Back in June, Hiddleston and Ashton publicly confirmed they were expecting their second baby in an announcement by Vogue. At the time, the couple appeared at the U.K. premiere of Hiddleston’s film The Life of Chuck during SXSW London, where Ashton proudly showed her baby bump on the red carpet.
Hiddleston and Ashton’s relationship has been in the public eye since September 2021, when they appeared together at the Tony Awards. They first worked together in 2018 for a Dickens vs. Tolstoy debate at Intelligence Squared, later co-starring in the 2019 revival of Harold Pinter’s play Betrayal on the West End and Broadway. The pair announced their engagement in March 2022.
The couple has kept most details about their children private, but fans are celebrating the news of their growing family.
