Tom Holland Already Has An Idea For ‘Spider-Man 4’
With Spider-Man: No Way Home just around the corner, as much as the fans are excited about the 27th MCU movie, they’re also wondering what’s next for Tom Holland’s web-crawler. Although Sony’s Amy Pascal already revealed they’re planning another Spider-Man trilogy post-No Way Home, Tom Holland still isn’t 100% if he will wear a Spider-Man mask again.
“It’s been an incredible journey so far and if it’s time for me to hang up the cape and let the next person take over, I will do that proudly knowing that I’ve achieved everything that I wanted to in this world. And when I say this world I mean the MCU, I don’t mean ‘this world’ like in the actual world. So yeah, I feel pretty good about the future of Spider-Man, and I’m happy to let someone else don the suit, but I also would love to squeeze back into that spandex again.” — Tom Holland for Fandom
So, from this, we’d say that Holland isn’t sure if he wants to play Spider-Man again. But regardless, Holland also revealed that he already pitched the idea for possible ‘Spider-Man 4’, but didn’t want to go into details because, as he’s saying, revealing the idea now would spoil the end of No Way Home.
“There is one idea that I have, that I have pitched to the studio, but by telling you that idea I’d be ruining this movie, so I’m going to have to keep that one for myself.” — Tom Holland for Fandom
Director Jon Watts described Spider-Man: No Way Home as Spider-Man: Endgame, and fans are also expecting that No Way Home will conclude Spider-Man’s MCU trilogy and set up future MCU projects at the same time. When we say future MCU projects, of course, we think about the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and that potential Spider-Man 4.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to hit theaters this Friday – December 17, 2021.
