Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Goes Rogue: Shoots Real Webs, Joins Forces With Punisher and Bruce Banner in New ‘Brand New Day’ Trailer
Tom Holland swings back into action as Spider-Man in the first trailer for Disney and Sony’s upcoming “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” set to hit theaters on July 31. This is Holland’s fourth solo Spider-Man movie and his seventh appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The trailer shows Peter Parker in a brand-new red-and-blue suit, which is more comic-accurate than his previous versions. After the events of 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” Peter is dealing with big losses. Referring to Doctor Strange’s spell that brought villains from other dimensions into the MCU. To fix the chaos, Peter had to make everyone forget he was Spider-Man, including his girlfriend MJ and best friend Ned.
Now alone and grieving his Aunt May, Peter is ready to swing into a new chapter. The trailer also teases some major team-ups. Mark Ruffalo returns as Bruce Banner, and Jon Bernthal is back as the Punisher. Michael Mando reprises his role as Scorpion from “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” New faces include Sadie Sink from Stranger Things, Tramell Tillman of Severance, Liza Colon-Zayas of The Bear, and Marvin Jones II as the gangster Tombstone.

Fans will notice that Peter’s web-slinging has evolved too. The trailer shows him shooting organic webs straight from his own wrists, hinting at a more classic, comic-book style Spider-Man experience. The film promises a mix of returning villains, familiar allies, and fresh threats for Parker to face.
According to sources at Disney and Sony, “Brand New Day shakes up Spider-Man’s status quo while honoring the events of the previous films,” giving Holland a chance to explore a more mature and experienced Spider-Man.
As anticipation builds, fans are already analyzing the trailer for hints about the story. Will the Punisher and Hulk help Peter in his new mission? How will the new characters like Tombstone and Scorpion factor into the challenges he faces? With so many Marvel heroes and villains on screen, the movie looks set to deliver action-packed drama.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is shaping up to be a fresh, high-stakes adventure for Holland’s Peter Parker. With the trailer out, fans can finally see how the beloved hero adapts to a world that doesn’t remember him, while teaming up with some unexpected allies.
