‘Tom & Jerry: Forbidden Compass’ Unveils Dual Trailer Drop
A new animated movie featuring Tom and Jerry is getting closer to release, and fans now have a better look at it. Two trailers for Tom & Jerry: Forbidden Compass have been released, offering an early preview of the story and style of the film.
The movie will not arrive at the same time worldwide. Viewers in Europe will see it first when it opens on May 22. China will follow later in the summer on August 6. Audiences in North America will have to wait the longest, as the film is scheduled to premiere there on September 9. The different release dates depend on regional distributors handling the rollout.
The film comes from Warner Bros. Animation and continues a new series of Tom and Jerry movies. This project is the second entry in that lineup, following the earlier film released in 2021. Reports also suggest that another movie is already being planned, although there are no clear details yet.

In this new story, Tom and Jerry end up in an unexpected situation during one of their usual chases. After triggering a magical object, they are sent to another place and time. The journey leads them into a new adventure where they meet other characters and face unknown dangers. The story mixes their classic rivalry with a bigger fantasy setting.
The voice cast includes Eric Bauza as Tom and Ben Diskin as Jerry. The trailers show a mix of action, humor, and a time-travel theme, giving the familiar characters a slightly different kind of story compared to their usual short-form chaos.
It is interesting to see Tom and Jerry placed in a larger story instead of simple short episodes. It could work well if the balance between humor and adventure is right. What do you think about this new direction for Tom and Jerry? Share your thoughts in the comments.
