‘Top Gun’ Star Jennifer Connelly’s (55) Opulent Paris Portraits Put Louis Vuitton’s Most Daring Shoes in the Spotlight
Few stars are as closely tied to a fashion house as Jennifer Connelly is to Louis Vuitton. The Oscar winner has been a fixture at the brand’s Paris Fashion Week shows for years, from the spring 2025 presentation at the Louvre in October 2024 to the fall 2026 show this past March.
Her bond with the maison goes well beyond front-row seats. A longtime ambassador, she also starred in Louis Vuitton’s spring 2026 campaign, and she has been juggling those fashion duties with a busy year on screen.
That screen work has kept her in the spotlight all autumn. Connelly stars in and executive produces Apple TV’s ‘Dark Matter’ alongside Joel Edgerton, and its 10-episode second season has been rolling out weekly since August 28, with the finale set for October 30.
With the show nearing its end, Connelly returned to her other creative home this week. She attended the Louis Vuitton fashion show held at the Louvre on Tuesday as part of the spring 2027 Paris Fashion Week, joining a guest list that also included Zendaya and Lisa.
Now, a fresh set of portraits has given fans a closer look at her ensemble. The photos were shot by Gabriele di Martino and show the same Louis Vuitton outfit she wore for the show, with the images capturing her posing in an ornate corridor lined with patterned carpet and lounging on a pale blue brocade armchair.
The centerpiece is a dark mini dress decorated with horizontal bands of pink, white, blue, and gold-toned ornament. It has a loose, long-sleeved shape with a high rounded neckline, a short hem edged in pink, and softly gathered sleeves.
The accessories push the playful mood even further. A lavender cylindrical handbag with short handles and a gold-tone chain picks up the brighter notes in the dress, while her long dark hair is worn straight and loose with a center part, keeping the beauty look restrained.
The real talking point, though, is the footwear. Connelly opted for a hybrid that blends a sneaker with a boot, taken from the Louis Vuitton cruise 2027 collection. The stitched design is built from individually piped strips of leather sewn together. Her pair came in purple, pink, and black, echoing the metallic colorblocking seen on many versions of the style.
The shoe has an interesting backstory of its own. Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s women’s creative director for nearly 13 years, first presented the design during his cruise show at The Frick Collection in New York City in May, where every model wore it.
Fashion watchers have been quick to weigh in on the styling. CelebMafia praised how the outfit’s busy details feel intentional rather than random, pointing to the way the horizontal embroidery gives the look structure while the boots and bag add distinct shapes, and scored the ensemble an 8 out of 10.
It’s a fitting look for an actress who has never shied away from bold fashion moments at Louis Vuitton. Back at the spring 2026 show, she drew attention for ornate open-toe boots covered in gold mirror-like appliqués, proving that her footwear often does the talking.
As ‘Dark Matter’ heads toward its season finale, where Connelly’s Daniela faces mounting paranoia as Jason’s obsession with the mysterious Box deepens, the actress is clearly having just as much fun off screen. Between the multiverse thriller and her latest Paris outing, her autumn has been anything but quiet.
