President Donald Trump has once again targeted late-night television hosts, this time setting his sights on NBC’s Seth Meyers.

Trump criticized Meyers for mocking him during a recent segment of A Closer Look, in which the host poked fun at the president’s comments about steam catapults on aircraft carriers.

Writing on TruthSocial, Trump claimed, “Seth Meyers of NBC may be the least talented person to ‘perform’ live in the history of television. In fact, he may be the WORST to perform, live or otherwise. I watched his show the other night for the first time in years. On and on he went, a truly deranged lunatic… NO TALENT, NO RATINGS, 100% ANTI TRUMP, WHICH IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL!!!”

The president also appeared to misunderstand how late-night shows are produced, suggesting that Meyers’ show is filmed live. In reality, Late Night with Seth Meyers is taped in advance.

This is not Trump’s first public criticism of Meyers. Earlier this year, he referred to the host as “marble mouth” and called him a “dope” last month.

His attacks follow a similar campaign against Jimmy Kimmel a month prior, which ultimately boosted ratings for Jimmy Kimmel Live! after the host returned from a brief hiatus.

The conflict highlights the ongoing tension between Trump and late-night hosts, many of whom regularly satirize his public statements and political actions.
