Trump Demands Jimmy Kimmel Be Fired (Yes, Again): ‘Get the Bum Off the Air!’
U.S. President Donald Trump has once again targeted late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, calling on ABC to remove him from the air. The president posted on his Truth Social account late Wednesday, criticizing Kimmel’s talent and television ratings.
“Why does ABC Fake News keep Jimmy Kimmel, a man with NO TALENT and VERY POOR TELEVISION RATINGS, on the air? Why do the TV Syndicates put up with it? Also, totally biased coverage. Get the bum off the air!!!” Trump wrote.

The post comes after Kimmel joked in a monologue that Trump “loses his mind” whenever he is asked why he hasn’t released government files related to Jeffrey Epstein. This isn’t the first time Trump has targeted Kimmel. Earlier this week, Trump called for ABC’s broadcast license to be revoked following questions about the Epstein files.
The feud also follows Disney’s ABC temporarily preempting Kimmel’s show in September. That happened after Kimmel made jokes regarding the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, specifically referencing the alleged shooter, Tyler Robinson. Many on the right felt Kimmel had unfairly linked Robinson’s actions to extreme-right politics. Kimmel returned to the air shortly after, resuming his usual routine of mocking Trump during his opening monologues.
Trump has previously expressed his disdain for late-night hosts. In July, after the cancellation of Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show, Trump wrote, “I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert! Greg Gutfeld is better than all of them combined, including the Moron on NBC who ruined the once great Tonight Show.”

This latest attack highlights the ongoing tension between Trump and late-night hosts, with Kimmel frequently appearing as a target in the president’s social media posts and public statements.
