TV Anime ‘FUUTO PI’ Premiers This August, 6 Cast Members Announced
Ruku Sanjo’s manga FUUTO PI TV anime adaptation under the same title is greenlit to premiere this August. Tokyo MX and U-NEXT will be streaming the anime. The teaser promotional video (PV), teaser visual, and cast members were also announced. Sadly, the video is restricted to Asia at the moment, and European viewers would need a VPN to access the video below.

FUUTO PI’s released cast members are the following (from left to right):
- Makoto Furukawa as Ryū Terui
- Mikako Komatsu as Akiko Narumi
- Kouki Uchiyama as Philip
- Yoshimasa Hosoya as Shotaro Hidari
- Akira Sekine as Tokime
- Daisuke Ono as Yukiji Bandō
The upcoming TV anime is a sequel to Kamen Rider W Returns: Kamen Rider Accel, and it was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Kamen Rider franchise. FUUTO PI takes place after Kamen Rider W and centers around Shotaro Hidari, a private detective.
The announced cast shared a few words in a short interview. Star Yoshimasa Hosoya commented that he was overflowing with joy at the news of a sequel. He’s a big fan of the Kamen Rider series and can’t way to work on the project. Meanwhile, Philip’s voice actor Kouki Uchiyama said that his excitement for the series is mixed with some apprehension. He notes that his character, Philip, has a lot of difficult lines, but he promised to give his best effort to the series.
The other voice actors mostly expressed their excitement and gratitude towards the project. Since they’ve been recasted to play their respective roles, they’re thankful for the opportunity and can’t wait for it to begin.
