Two Real-Life Miles Morales Actors Are Showing off a Friendship Fans Never Saw Coming
Miles Morales has been brought to life across more platforms than almost any other modern superhero, jumping between animated films, video games, and television without ever losing the character’s core identity. Their bond actually goes back much further than either of their careers as Miles. According to a report from GameLuster, the two actors have been friends since they were around 14 years old, having first met on the set of the sitcom ‘Reed Between the Lines.’ Their connection runs even deeper than that coincidence, since their grandmothers reportedly grew up together in the same parish in Jamaica.
Despite that long friendship and their shared history playing the same iconic character, Jeter admitted during a MomoCon panel that the two had never actually sat down to compare notes on their respective takes on Miles. Speaking to reporters at the convention, Jeter burst out laughing when asked whether he and Moore had ever discussed their experiences portraying the character, admitting the idea had simply never occurred to him.
The renewed attention on their friendship comes at an interesting moment for Moore specifically, as he continues promoting ‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse,’ the long-awaited conclusion to Sony’s animated trilogy. The film, currently slated for a June 2027 release after facing repeated delays, will reportedly feature three different versions of Moore’s Miles Morales, according to comments he made during a recent red carpet interview.
That kind of multiversal storytelling has become the defining feature of the ‘Spider-Verse’ franchise, making it fitting that two actors who’ve separately embodied Miles across different corners of pop culture would end up celebrating their own real-world version of that theme.
