Anime fans, hear us and rejoice! ‘Hanzawa the Criminal’ manga and ‘Zero’s Tea Time’ manga will both get anime adaptations, announced by Shogakukan.

Case Closed (also known as Detective Conan in Japan) is a detective manga series created by Gosho Aoyama. The original manga was adapted into an anime in 1996. Two manga spin-offs followed; Hanzawa the Criminal (Detective Conan: Hannin no Hanzawa-san) in 2017, and Zero’s Tea Time (Detective Conan: Zero no Tea Time) in 2018.

Now, it was announced that both of those spin-offs will get their own anime adaptations. ‘Hanzawa the Criminal’ will see a known black-silhouetted character, while ‘Zero’s Tea Time’ follows Rei Furuya, a PSB (Public Security Bureau) agent.

‘Hanzawa the Criminal’ sold over one million copies of the manga.
