Assassin’s Creed is one of the longest-running series in the modern gaming industry. The series started with the original game back in 2007 where the player played with Altaïr Ibn-LaʼAhad. Since then, the series introduced us to many assassins, locations, and time periods, including the Crusades, Italian Renaissance, American War for Independence, French Revolution, etc.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the 13th major installment in the series and it will follow Basim Ibn Ishaq, who we have already met in the previous installment Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Mirage is set 20 years before the events of Valhalla and it will follow Basim’s coming-of-age story. The game will also adapt the elements of the original Assassin’s Creed games, focusing more on stealth, which makes the game sort of like “going back to the roots” for the franchise, which is something the fans have really wanted after the series started focusing more on the RPG elements.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set to be released in 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The specific release date is still TBA, but the game is already available for pre-order.
