‘Unsolved Mysteries’ Episode 6 Ending, Explained: What Happened to Josh Guimond on Nov. 9, 2002?

Welcome to the Ending Explained for Episode 6 of Unsolved Mysteries. The series has arrived on Netflix with a third volume filled with mysterious happenings from all over the United States of America. This season of the show is also quite varied by giving us a balanced set of cases that move between normal criminal cases and those that feel closer to something like a ghost movie. The series follows the same format as many of the countless docuseries available on the streaming service. You get the chance to see interviews with some of the most important and relevant witnesses for each case, and then you go on a deep dive into the pertinent details of that case. It is a very simple structure, but it works. It all depends on the quality of the mystery, of course. Some mysteries will be better than others, but there is always something interesting to watch in this new season of the show.

What Happened To Josh Guimond on Nov. 9, 2002?

The episode starts with an introduction to the mystery. It is all very simple at first, but it quickly evolves into something much darker. On November 9th, 2002. Josh Guimond was at a party with some friends. The evening passed just like any other, with Josh spending time with his friends and having a good time. However, near the end of the night, people started to realize that Josh was not at the party anymore, and no one could contact him. It was something very strange to happen.

Friends and family agree that Josh would have said goodbye before leaving, as he always did. However, on this particular night, there was something different. Some people at the party agree that they saw a male figure going through the door, but they are not sure if it was Josh. It is a very sad state of affairs, but the authorities and Josh’s family realize very quickly that they are face to face with a missing person case.

There is still worse news because it seems that Josh is not the only victim of a disappearance in the area. So two other young men also disappeared very close to Josh’s, and so the police start linking the two cases, but it seems like they are completely separate. Especially after the fact that the bodies of the other two men are recovered near a lake. However, Josh’s body is not found there or anywhere else. The trail cools off, but fingers are pointed to a close monastery where more than a dozen of pedophile monks have been living there for the past year.

It all becomes very confusing. Nevertheless, the clues that could help the police and the family to solve the case are never found. The police start thinking that this might not have been just a normal disappearance, but that there is actually some foul play involved.

What Could Have Happened To Josh Guimind?

There are many theories about what could have happened to Josh. One of them is that, according to some witnesses, they saw Josh having a fight with a very close friend of his becomes this friend was apparently dating Josh’s ex-girlfriend. The police then start investigating to see if there is some motive found in the situation. Could it be that Josh was angry that these two people were dating and something happened between them? The people involved, of course, say no.

Many years after Josh’s disappearance, the police keep searching for clues, and they find some of them when they are able to access Josh’s old computer. There, they find some things that might be connected with his disappearance. It seems that Josh was a regular in some chatrooms. He used to have multiple accounts, and in some of them, he used to pass as a girl and talk to men this way. It is not clear for what reason, but it seems like Josh was interested in meeting people online. Could it be that he met someone from these chatrooms in real life and something happened?

There are many possibilities, but sadly, some of these clues lead nowhere. The trails are just too cold at this point in time. The thing is that Josh might have had some secrets, and those secrets took him in a very dangerous direction. We might never know what happened to Josh, so we can only hope that he and his family can find peace somehow.
