Velociraptor Fans Rejoice: Deleted ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ Scene Finally Drops!
Jurassic World Rebirth, directed by Gareth Edwards and written by David Koepp, hit theaters in 2025 as the latest chapter in the long-running Jurassic Park franchise. Set three years after Jurassic World Dominion, this fourth Jurassic World film follows a new team traveling to an island near the equator, one of the last places where dinosaurs can survive.
Their mission is to collect DNA samples from some of the largest prehistoric creatures to help develop a treatment for heart disease. Along the way, they rescue a family stranded on the island, and together they face dangers trying to survive.
The movie premiered in London on June 17, 2025, and was released in the U.S. and Canada on July 2 by Universal Pictures. Critics gave Jurassic World Rebirth mixed reviews, though many saw it as an improvement over previous sequels. The film made a solid $768 million worldwide on a $180–225 million budget, becoming the fourth-highest-grossing film of 2025.
Recently, a deleted scene from the film was released, and it has excited many fans. This scene featured the franchise’s famous velociraptors much more than the final movie did. The velociraptors have always been iconic to Jurassic Park, and this scene would have been a great nod to the original films.
The deleted footage showed the new team and the rescued Delgado family encountering a pack of velociraptors at an abandoned InGen facility on the island of Île Saint-Hubert. This moment would have connected Jurassic World Rebirth back to the earlier movies, especially Jurassic Park III, which had a memorable plot involving velociraptor eggs.

The velociraptors in the deleted scene had a fresh design, offering fans a chance to see these creatures up close. Sadly, this new look was barely visible in the theatrical cut, making it a shame the scene didn’t make it into the final film. Still, the movie that Gareth Edwards brought to life has been a big success for the franchise.
As fans continue to explore this new chapter, this deleted velociraptor scene reminds us why Jurassic Park’s dinosaurs have stayed so beloved for nearly three decades. It’s a glimpse at what could have been, and a treat for anyone who loves the thrills and excitement that only Jurassic World can deliver.
