Vin Diesel Is Publicly Inviting Dwayne Johnson To Return For ‘Fast & Furious 10’

Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, first love is never forgotten, right? Well, with these two, it’s been one rough love. Diesel and The Rock allegedly had disagreements during the production of Fast & Furious 8, which resulted in Johnson leaving the main franchise and making his own spin-off Hobbs & Shaw with Jason Statham.

Johnson wasn’t a part of Fast & Furious 9 that came out last summer, and he announced that he won’t take parts in the main franchise anymore, but he will return as Luke Hobbs in the sequel of Hobbs & Shaw, which is only one of the dozen projects he’s currently developing.

And just when fans have made peace with the fact that Luke Hobbs won’t appear in the two-part finale of the Fast saga, here comes the head of the franchise Vin Diesel with a message for Johnson, asking him to rethink his decision and return for the conclusion of the main series.

Recently, Diesel posted a picture of his character Dom Toretto and Johnson’s character Luke Hobbs from the famous Fast Five scene, writing a direct invitation to Johnson in caption. But what’s interesting, he didn’t tag him. Or maybe Johnson blocked him, who knows.

My little brother Dwayne… the time has come. The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don’t send well wishes… but the time has come. Legacy awaits. I told you years ago that I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo. I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale that is 10! I say this out of love… but you must show up, do not leave the franchise idle you have a very important role to play. Hobbs can’t be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny.

Dwayne Johnson joined the Fast franchise in the 2011 movie Fast Five as Luke Hobbs, a DSS agent whose goal was to bring in Dom and his family when they escaped to Rio de Janeiro. He returned in Fast & Furious 6 where he asked Dom and his team for help to take down another team of dangerous drivers, and he also returned in the seventh and eighth installments of the saga.

After that, they’ve split their ways, Johnson filmed a spin-off Hobbs & Shaw, while Diesel filmed Fast & Furious 9. Will Johnson listen? Will he accept Diesel’s invitation to return? Only time will tell.

Fast & Furious 10 is set to be released in April 2023.
