Walker Scobell Teases Epic Episode 4 of ‘Percy Jackson’ Season 2: “It’s Its Own Movie”!
Walker Scobell, the young star of ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians,’ was honored with the Rising Star Award at TVfest, recognizing his impressive performance as Percy Jackson. During an interview, Scobell shared his excitement about a major moment in Season 2, teasing an action-packed episode that fans won’t want to miss.
Scobell revealed that Episode 4 will feature an intense encounter with Charybdis and Scylla, two legendary monsters from Greek mythology. These creatures are known from Homer’s Odyssey, where they terrorized sailors trying to navigate treacherous waters. The inclusion of these iconic beasts suggests that’ Percy Jackson’ Season 2 will continue to raise the stakes with high-intensity action sequences and breathtaking visuals.
What we did in episode four with Charybdis and Scylla. I don’t want to spoil anything but this is probably the biggest [episode]. It’s its own movie to be honest. That was the first table read we did where we hadn’t read it beforehand. They wanted us to all experience it for the first time with them.
Scobell also revealed that the cast experienced a unique moment while preparing for Episode 4. Unlike other episodes, where actors typically receive scripts in advance, the showrunners chose to keep this one a surprise until the table read.
With Scobell calling Episode 4 its own movie, expectations for the show’s Season 2 are now higher than ever. The first season was praised for its faithful adaptation of Rick Riordan’s beloved book series, and it looks like Season 2 will only continue to build on that success.
The inclusion of Charybdis and Scylla hints that the show will stay true to ‘The Sea of Monsters,’ the second book in the series. In the novel, Percy and his friends must sail through dangerous waters, encountering terrifying mythological creatures along the way. This episode could showcase one of the most iconic moments from the book, further immersing fans in the world of Greek mythology.
With filming already underway, fans eagerly await more updates on Percy Jackson Season 2. If Scobell’s excitement is anything to go by, Episode 4 is shaping up to be a true highlight of the season—one that could redefine what a teen fantasy TV show can deliver.
