[Watch] Sophie Turner Spotted as Lara Croft in Action on Set of Amazon’s Live-Action ‘Tomb Raider’ Series
Sophie Turner is stepping fully into the role of Lara Croft, and new footage from the set shows just how action-heavy the upcoming Tomb Raider will be. The series is being made for Amazon Prime Video, and filming is already in progress.
The latest videos and photos come from Daily Mail, which shared clips from the set. They were filmed in Surrey, England, where Turner has been shooting intense action scenes. In the footage, she is seen using dual pistols, fighting enemies, and even throwing a grenade through a small window. The scene feels very close to the original video games.
The videos also show her using both guns at once during combat. This is something fans will recognize from the older games. In more recent titles, that style was used less, so seeing it return is a big moment for long-time fans.

The images also give a clear look at her outfit. Instead of the classic tank top and shorts, Turner wears more practical gear. Her costume includes cargo trousers, a layered top with a waistcoat, and a holster belt. She also has knee-high boots, a knife tucked in, and a small backpack. Her hair is tied back in a braid, giving her a simple and ready-for-action look.

Turner trained for months to handle these scenes, and it shows in how she moves and fights on set. The project is being led by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, known for her work on Fleabag. She is writing and producing the series.
The cast also includes Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, and Celia Imrie. Turner, who many know from Game of Thrones, is now joining the list of actors who have played Lara Croft before her.
That list includes Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander, who both brought the character to life in earlier films.
For now, there is no official release date, but based on the footage, the show is clearly aiming for a strong mix of action and classic Tomb Raider style.
