Wayans Bros. Reunite With Anna Faris and Regina Hall in First Trailer for ‘Scary Movie 6’
The first trailer for Scary Movie 6 has officially arrived, giving fans a preview of what to expect from the newest entry in the comedy-horror franchise.
The trailer was released this morning and confirms that the film will once again take aim at recent horror titles. Among the movies being spoofed are Sinners by Ryan Coogler and The Substance by Coralie Fargeat. The project continues the series’ tradition of parodying major releases from the genre.
Several familiar faces are returning. Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans are back, joined again by Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Lochlyn Monroe, Dave Sheridan and Jon Abrahams. Their return connects the new movie directly to the earlier films that helped define the franchise.
The script was written by Marlon and Shawn alongside Keenen Ivory Wayans and longtime creative partner Rick Alvarez, who is also producing the film. Direction duties are handled by Michael Tiddes.

New cast members have also joined the lineup. Olivia Rose Keegan, Savannah Lee Nassif, Cameron Scott Roberts, Sydney Park, Gregg Wayans, Ruby Snowber and Benny Zielke are all part of the project, bringing fresh energy to the series.
The movie is produced by Miramax with Jonathan Glickman, Alexandra Loewy and Thom Zadra serving as executive producers. Paramount Pictures will distribute the film worldwide on June 12 as part of its first-look partnership with Miramax.
Information about the tone of the film was previously shared by Marlon Wayans in a 2025 interview with Entertainment Weekly. He described the new installment as bold and willing to joke about anything.
“It’s how we always do it,” he said. “We just want to make everybody laugh, and we don’t care if you’re sensitive. Even sensitive people need to laugh at themselves.”
The trailer makes it clear that the creative team is sticking to that approach. The film appears ready to deliver the same style of comedy that made the earlier entries popular. With the original creators back on board and a mix of returning stars and new additions, the next chapter aims to bring the franchise back to theaters in a big way.
