Where To Watch Scream Movies? The Complete Guide

Where To Watch Scream Movies? The Complete Guide

The newest part of the satirical slasher horror classic franchise, Scream, is just about to hit cinemas. With the new movie coming out with high expectations, many fans feel nostalgic and eager to watch the previous films before the new one premieres. So, where can you watch Scream 1-4?

Scream 1 and 2 are on Peacock, while you can find Scream 1-3 on the AMC+ Premium app. Scream 3 is available on Starz, and Scream 4 is streaming on Hulu. You can buy/rent all four films on Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, Vudu, etc. All films are also available on FuboTV and DirecTV.

If you wish to watch the Scream TV series, produced by the Scream creator/director Wes Craven, it was first aired on MTV, but now you can find it on Netflix. Let’s dive deeper into all the options where you can find every movie from the franchise regardless of where you live and which streaming platforms are available for you.

Where Are Scream Movies Available?

There are four Scream movies out so far, but unfortunately, it’s not that easy to find them all together on the same streaming platform. Platforms like FuboTV and DirecTV have all the movies available for their subscribers, but the platforms themselves aren’t available worldwide. Don’t worry – I got you covered. Here’s how you can watch every Scream movie separately.

Scream (1996)

Where To Watch Scream Movies? The Complete Guide

The original Scream movie is still considered the best in the franchise. Although it’s over 25 years old, you can still find it on some streaming platforms and is available for purchase/rental.

Scream streams on the AMC+ Premium app, which costs around $5 per month. The first three Scream movies came to the platform as a part of AMC’s annual Fear Fest celebration, though, so I’m not sure how long they’ll stay there.

You can also find the film on Peacock for $4.99 a month. Peacock is still unavailable worldwide, though – you can subscribe only if you’re in the US, UK, or Ireland.

Tubi TV also has the film available for US citizens, but the platform is currently unavailable in Europe – they’re working on resolving it in the near future.

Apart from streaming, you can buy/rent the movie from $2.99 (SD) to $7.99 (Blu-Ray) on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Google Play, Vudu, and other sources. If you’re planning a Scream marathon before the new film, I suggest getting the Scream 1-3 Blu-Ray bundle for $12.99.

Scream 2 (1997)

Scream 2 came out a year after the first film that was a global hit, and although it didn’t quite live up to that same level, it was a great film nevertheless.

Like the first movie, you can find it on the AMC+ Premium app for $5 a month and on Peacock for $4.99. Unfortunately, if those are unavailable in your location, other major streaming platforms like Hulu, Netflix, or HBO Max don’t offer Scream 2, or the other films, for that matter.

Still, you can buy or rent Scream 2 instead of streaming for $12.99 as a part of the Scream 1-3 Blu-Ray bundle, or separately for $2.99-$7.99 on Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, iTunes, Vudu, etc.

Scream 3 (2000)

Scream 3 is widely regarded as the worst film of the franchise, but hey – it had its moments, and if nothing, it’ll provide you a nice laugh or two with the incredible goofiness it has.

The movie is also on AMC+ Premium, but unlike the first two films, Peacock doesn’t offer it on their platform. Instead, you can find it on Starz, which costs $8.99 a month, but they also offer a 7-day trial which you can cancel if you don’t like it or feel like you don’t need the subscription later.

As mentioned, Scream 1-3 Blu-Ray bundle costs $12.99, but you can buy/rent the film separately if you want for $2.99-$7.99 on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Google Play, Vudu, etc.

Scream 4 (2011)

Eleven years after the fiasco that was the third movie, Scream 4 (SCRE4M) came out and reignited the franchise. It was a worthy redemption, up to par with the second film, meaning slightly less awesome than the original.

It’s unavailable on the AMC+ Premium app or Peacock, but it’s the only film of the franchise available on Hulu that costs as little as $6.99 a month ($69.99 a year) for the basic plan. The Syfy app had it for a while, too, but it was unavailable the last time I checked.

You can also buy/rent Scream 4 on Amazon Prime Video for $3.49 for SD, $6.99 for HD DVD, and $7.99 for the Blu-Ray film version. It’s also available on iTunes, Vudu, Google Play, etc.

Scream: The TV Series (2015-2019)

The Scream TV series premiered on MTV in 2015 and aired for three seasons. It has no connections with the original storyline, other than being produced by Wes Craven, but it’s still a fun watch that the Scream franchise fans will enjoy.

Of course, you can’t find it on MTV anymore, but the good news is that Netflix picked it up. All three seasons are available as a part of the regular Netflix subscription, costing $8.99 a month.

Scream (2022)

Finally, the latest movie in the franchise isn’t out just yet, but it will be very shortly. The three main actors return for their respective roles, and early critics’ reviews give fans high hopes for the film.

While it’s uncertain if the movie will become a part of any major streaming platform in the future, for the time being, Scream will premiere exclusively in cinemas. If you want to see it, grab your ticket, and enjoy!
