Where Was Ghosted (2023) Filmed? Filming Locations Revealed
Single people of my generation would say there’s nothing worse than a crush who stops responding to your messages, especially when you think you’ve found “the one.” If you ever found yourself in that situation, then the upcoming action comedy Ghosted is a movie for you. Starring Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, working again after co-starring in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, Ghosted is set to premiere exclusively on Apple TV+ this week. While the movie’s plot is definitely something we have seen numerous times already, we certainly won’t skip something that reunited Chris and Ana on the screen. While we’re waiting for the movie, let’s take a look at all the locations where the movie was filmed.
From the information we have, most of the movie Ghosted was filmed in Atlanta and Washington D.C. in the United States and London in the United Kingdom. The movie’s trailer offered some scenes filmed in easily recognizable locations across Washington, D.C., and London.
Action comedies like Ghosted are usually filmed in beautiful locations. To tell you the truth, these streaming movies seem to me like a good excuse for the cast and crew to take a vacation somewhere and make a movie simultaneously. How else would you explain movies like Murder Mystery or Shotgun Wedding? While Ghosted wasn’t filmed on exotic islands, we have recognized some tourist-popular locations in the trailer, and we’ll break them down in the next few paragraphs.
Filming Locations of Ghosted
Atlanta, Georgia
Atlanta is one of the most popular filming locations for hundreds of productions happening yearly. You’ve probably noticed how the producers tend to shoot movies in Atlanta rather than in Hollywood. The answer to that is actually quite simple. Apart from the fact that production costs and tax prices are lower than in Hollywood, the state of Georgia offers diverse geography and a pleasant climate that allows production crews to do their job during the entire year.
Many movies that are filmed in the state of Georgia do not take place there, thanks to the diverse geography that allows the state to offer stand-ins for various locations in which the movie takes place. KFTV reported in January 2022 that the production of Ghosted began in February 2022 in Atlanta and Washington, D.C. More about it in the next paragraph.
Washington D.C.
From what we have seen in the movie’s first and only trailer so far, the plot will follow a guy named Cole (Chris Evans), an American farmer who will meet a beautiful woman named Sadie (Ana de Armas). After they meet in the USA and spend some quality time there, Sadie will go to London, which wouldn’t be so weird if she didn’t stop replying to Cole’s messages. The trailer showed us several shots of Cole and Sadie visiting some known locations in Washington D.C., including The Exorcist Steps, Wharf Jitney – Recreation Pier, The Lincoln Book Tower in the Ford’s Theatre Center, and the National Gallery of Art.

London, UK
After a successful first date, Cole returns to his family to tell them he may have found “the one.” But unfortunately, Sadie stopped answering his messages after she returned to London. Of course, Cole doesn’t want to accept that she ghosted him, so he decides to travel 5000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean to find her. That brings him, and us, to London. Of course, we have seen some of the most recognizable places in the city, like Big Ben and Tower Bridge. From what we have seen in the trailer, at least one scene was filmed on Shad Thames, a historic riverside street next to Tower Bridge, and The Vault 1894, a pub tucked under the Tower Bridge, south of the river.
What is Ghosted about?
We have already mentioned that Ghosted follows Chris Evans’ Cole, who travels to London to find a girl he fell in love with. What he doesn’t know, however, is that Ana de Armas’ Sadie is actually a secret agent who is in the middle of an important mission. Cole will be caught in the crossfire, and both he and Sadie realize they’ll need to save the world before deciding where to go for the second date. What could possibly go wrong?
The movie also stars Adrien Brody, Tim Blake Nelson, Marwan Kenzari, etc. The movie was written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who wrote the Spider-Man MCU trilogy starring Tom Holland, alongside Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the Deadpool trilogy starring Ryan Reynolds. The movie is directed by Dexter Fletcher, known for Eddie the Eagle and Rocketman, who was an uncredited director of Bohemian Rhapsody.
Ghosted is set to be released exclusively on Apple TV+ on April 21, 2023.
