Who’s Really To Blame for Incursions & Multiversal Collapse in ‘Avengers’ 5&6? Insider Unveils Major Plot Details

Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars are two of the most anticipated MCU projects. While the full plot isn’t clear, it seems like the stories from Time Runs Out and Secret Wars will be loosely adapted.
The Multiverse is in danger, likely due to incursions. Doctor Doom is set up as a major character, but how he fits into the story is still unclear.
Doctor Strange also seems to play a big role, with rumors suggesting that he could be responsible for the incursions and the Multiverse’s collapse.
In his December AMA, Alex Perez from Cosmic Circus shared some possible plot details for the upcoming movies and the Multiverse collapse.
Perez says that Doctor Doom has always been an important part of the story, but the main focus will be on the idea that anything can happen in the multiverse. The movies will explore who is really responsible for the state of the Multiverse — is it Kang, his variants, or someone else?
Perez also mentions that Doctor Strange might be blamed for the multiversal incursions, with the films showing him trying to prove that not all versions of him are destined to destroy the universe, and that he can choose to save it.
It’s Doom. It’s always been Doom. But the theme that, I think, will resonate here is that, in a multiverse of endless possibilities, anything is possible and nothing is set in stone. Just because something happens consistently in every universe, it doesn’t mean that it’s bound to happen in yours. The film will focus on who exactly is to blame for the current state of the Multiverse.
Was it Kang? Was it his variants? Was it someone else? What I’m hearing is that they’re going to try and shift the blame on Doctor Strange, and it’s a motif that’s been building up for a while now. I’ve explained it before in my previous articles and Q/As, but the idea is to make Strange the common denominator when it comes to incursions. And a good part of these films is Strange trying to reject that notion that All Stranges are meant to doom the universe, by making him the one who chooses to save it.

This is an interesting theory. If the story follows the path of Secret Wars, Doctor Doom’s actions might not be entirely evil. He could be trying to save reality in his own selfish, flawed way.Robert Downey Jr. hinted at this idea when he said, “different mask, same task,” suggesting that his character may have the same goal of saving reality but under a different identity. There’s also a scene in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness where Clea says Strange’s actions caused the incursions, and now they have to fix it. It’s possible that the movies will push the idea that Strange is actually to blame. What do you think about this theory? Let us know in the comments!
