Why Leonardo DiCaprio Reportedly Prefers Dating Women Under 25?

Leonardo DiCaprio seems to have a clear pattern when it comes to dating: he prefers women under 25.

This has been noted in many of his past relationships, including his romance with Camila Morrone. They reportedly started dating when she was 20, though they had known each other for years through Morrone’s pseudo-stepfather, Al Pacino. Their relationship ended shortly after Morrone turned 25.

An insider told The Post (via Page Six) in 2022 that DiCaprio avoids dating older women for a reason. “By the time girls reach 25, they’re looking for more — they’re looking to get married and settle down. That is not what Leo wants,” the source said.

“He does not want a family and does not want to be around women who may press him for that. The minute a girl meets him, the clock is ticking. If she gets too old, in a couple of years, she is gone. If she gets too close, in a couple of years, she is gone.”

The source also said his preference for younger women hasn’t changed over the years. Many of his relationships have been with models or actresses in their late teens or early twenties.

Blake Lively, for example, was 24 when she and DiCaprio broke up in 2011. A source told Us Weekly that the split happened because DiCaprio wanted a serious relationship while Lively “wasn’t ready to settle down.” The insider added, “[DiCaprio’s] looking for someone to eventually start a family with … That’s not where she’s at. She’s only 24!”

Other women DiCaprio has dated include Gisele Bündchen and Bar Refaeli, who were both around 20 when they were with him. He did make an exception in 2022 when he was seen with Gigi Hadid, who was 27 at the time, and in his most recent relationship.

Currently, DiCaprio, 50, is dating 27-year-old model Vittoria Ceretti. According to Us Weekly, their relationship has been serious since late 2023. “It’s going so well that Leo’s actually being exclusive. Vittoria is all he thinks about,” an insider said.

The source added that the couple shares common interests and that DiCaprio doesn’t shy away from showing affection in public. He reportedly sees Ceretti as “an old soul” and his friends hope she might be “The One.”

DiCaprio’s habit of dating women younger than 25 has long been a topic of public discussion and even memes.

DiCaprio’s dating choices show that he follows his personal comfort and preferences, even if it seems unusual to the public.
