MCU found its Adam Warlock! Will Poulter, known for The Revenant, Detroit, and mini-series The Underground Railroad has been cast as the famous character in the third, and presumably final, installment of James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy!
Warlock’s MCU debut was teased in one of the post-credit scenes of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, in which Elizabeth Debicki’s High Priestess Ayesha named Adam as someone who can destroy Guardians of the Galaxy because she felt betrayed by them when Rocket stole Anulax batteries from the Sovereign.
One of the actors who was rumored to portray the character was Zac Efron, but looks like it was all just a mere rumor. Gunn has made his decision, and now we wait for more information.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. will star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista (who confirmed this will be his last MCU movie), Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillian, and Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel in voice roles as Rocket and Groot. Elizabeth Debicki will also reprise the role of Ayesha. James Gunn is the writer and the director of the movie.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is expected to be released on May 5, 2023.
