‘X-Men’ Star Inde Navarrette and Mia Goth’s Front-Row Photo Has Horror Fans Losing It

Inde Navarrette and Mia Goth together in 1 frame is the kind of pairing that fans could only have imagined a year ago. For Navarrette, the past few months have been a whirlwind, all thanks to ‘Obsession,’ the horror sensation from writer-director Curry Barker in which she plays Nikki. The film was made in just 20 days on a budget of $750,000, and it went on to gross $519 million worldwide.

That success has quickly opened doors in the fashion world. Navarrette attended her first major fashion show in June at Marc Jacobs in New York, around the time she began working with stylist Enrique Melendez. In July, she made her Dior debut at the Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2026/2027 show in Paris.

Now she’s back in Paris, and this time she has a very buzzworthy seatmate. Pop Crave shared a new photo of Navarrette sitting beside Mia Goth, and the post has already made the rounds. Online reactions suggest the image was taken during the Dior show, where the 2 actresses sat side by side on wooden chairs among the other guests.

Their outfits had completely different moods. Navarrette went relaxed in a camel jacket over a white top, heavily distressed jeans, delicate jewelry, and sunglasses pushed up into her long dark hair. Goth leaned into a darker, more romantic look for the Dior Spring/Summer 2027 show on September 29.

She wore a black Dior dress with an asymmetric off-shoulder neckline, gathered draping, and a white lace layer peeking out from under the hem. CelebMafia noted that she paired it with pointed black pumps and a structured beige Dior top-handle bag.

Fans were thrilled. One popular reply said seeing the pair in 1 photo felt like horror Twitter had just been fed, while other users debated which of them had the stronger look. Some commenters were especially struck by Navarrette’s calm, confident presence throughout the event.

Goth’s link to the fashion world goes back years. She opened Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 2023 show in Paris, walking the runway in a clingy gray sweater, a semi-sheer polka-dot pencil skirt, and glossy slingback heels.

Navarrette’s rise is directly connected to one of the most surprising box office stories in recent memory. ‘Obsession’ premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025 before Focus Features released it in theaters, where it earned a $17.2 million domestic opening that far exceeded early projections. The film also received an A- CinemaScore, an extremely rare result for a horror release.

Its box office run kept growing from there. ‘Obsession’ became the highest-grossing film ever made for under $1 million, Focus Features’ biggest movie ever, and the highest-grossing festival acquisition, beating ‘The Blair Witch Project.’ It currently ranks as the 5th highest-grossing horror film of all time.

The spotlight on Navarrette’s performance has been just as strong. Barker said her very first take of Nikki’s emotional breakdown scene convinced the team they had found the right actress, and Dread Central said her performance had all the makings of a new horror icon.

Just weeks before Paris, Navarrette returned to TIFF with Barker to celebrate the film’s 1-year anniversary. At the event, she admitted she thought she had bombed during production, only to see Nikki become a widely memed and analyzed horror character.

Sitting next to Goth at 1 of Paris Fashion Week’s biggest shows feels like a fitting symbol of how far Navarrette has come. With Hollywood and the fashion industry both watching closely, fans are hoping this is only the beginning of her rise.
