Zack Snyder has been giving his Instagram followers a peek behind the scenes of his movies, and his latest post grabbed a lot of attention. Affleck first played Batman in Batman v Superman and returned to the role in Suicide Squad and Justice League. While fans liked his performance, his time as the Dark Knight wasn’t always easy. He has spoken openly about how difficult filming Justice League was for him.

The production of Justice League changed a lot after Snyder had to step away because of the death of his daughter. Joss Whedon took over, and there were reports of disagreements and tension on set. Critics also noticed Affleck sometimes seemed distant. Todd McCarthy from The Hollywood Reporter wrote that he “seemed like he’d rather be anywhere else.”

After the movie, Affleck decided not to continue starring in or directing The Batman. He said he couldn’t find the right story and needed time for himself. During that period, he also sought help for alcohol addiction and focused on getting better.

Snyder’s recent Instagram post is a reminder of the excitement when Affleck first became Batman. It shows a quiet, memorable moment that fans may have forgotten behind all the challenges. Even though his portrayal had its ups and downs, it left a lasting mark on the DC universe.

Seeing this photo now feels like a reflection on both Snyder’s and Affleck’s journeys. It reminds fans of what made their version of Batman stand out.
