‘Zootopia 2’ Trailer: Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman Return as Judy and Nick
Disney has finally dropped the trailer for Zootopia 2, and fans get to see Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde back on the beat.
Ginnifer Goodwin once again voices the determined bunny cop, while Jason Bateman returns as her quick-witted fox partner. The sequel to Disney’s 2016 hit Zootopia is set to open in theaters on November 26.
This time, the story introduces a new character shaking things up in the city: Gary De’Snake, a venomous but misunderstood reptile voiced by Everything Everywhere All At Once star Ke Huy Quan.
In the trailer, Gary makes his case to Judy with an emotional line: “Snakes aren’t the bad guys. I have to set things right. And when I do, my family will finally be able to come home.” The moment doesn’t last long, though, as Nick knocks Gary out to save Judy from danger.

But that’s only the beginning of their new adventure. Judy and Nick soon find themselves caught in a bigger mystery involving Gary and a strange book of Zootopia lore. Their investigation takes them into new districts of the city, forcing them to go undercover and test their teamwork in ways they’ve never faced before.
Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, with Bush also writing the script, the film brings back several stars from the first movie, including Idris Elba and Shakira. They’ll be joined by newcomers like Fortune Feimster, Andy Samberg, David Strathairn, Patrick Warburton, and Quinta Brunson. The movie is produced by Yvett Merino.
According to Walt Disney Animation Studios, the plot centers on Judy and Nick as they chase down clues tied to Gary De’Snake, a mysterious newcomer whose presence threatens to turn the city upside down. The studio’s description teases that the case will push the duo into unexpected parts of town and put their crime-solving bond to the test.
With a fresh villain, new faces, and more of the city to explore, Zootopia 2 looks ready to expand the world fans loved the first time around.
